“Before the Flood”

This week I watched the documentary “Before the Flood,” which was produced and narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio. This documentary basically encompasses all of what human action is doing to the planet. DiCaprio travels all across the world in this film to talk to world leaders, climate change experts, and to discover exactly what’s happening to our world.

I think that DiCaprio’s efforts to inform the population about climate change is important. DiCaprio’s platform as a well-known actor is exactly what is necessary to get the word out.

What I have yet to understand is why there are still people denying climate change. With so many documentaries and all of the information out there – easily-accessible – people continue to say that it isn’t true or we shouldn’t be worried because it is only 1 degree warmer.

But scientists continue to insist that this 1 degree of change is important. Our earth is not supposed to be warming that fast. Our sea level is not supposed to be growing so rapidly.

I just wish people would see what is right in front of them.

A lot of the information presented in the documentary and more can be found here on their website.
